Job summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers on Vashon is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant Certified to join the Vashon Medical Clinic. The successful candidate will provide quality patient care, support the care team, and help manage patient flow with a professional and courteous demeanor.

Responsibilities include rooming and exiting patients, processing referrals, administering injections and medications under physician order, venipuncture, and assisting with charting to ensure coordinated care.

Qualifications

• Washington MA certificate or MA interim license with passing exam within 90 days
• BLS CPR within 90 days of hire date; maintain current CPR
• EPIC experience preferred but not required
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required

Hourly Rate: $23.39

Position Summary:

Full-time Medical Assistant position available for our Vashon Medical Clinic. Ideal candidates will have proven excellent customer service skills, demonstrate an enthusiastic & professional demeanor, and excel at multi-tasking. Medical Assistants are an integral part of the care team, ensuring patient flow and providing quality patient care in a safe and timely manner.

Responsibilities:

• Follow protocol in rooming and exiting patients
• Complete all provider referrals for each patient
• Administer injections and distribute oral medications under physicians’ order; perform venipuncture
• Assist the medical provider with charting office visits; ensuring communication and documentation for comprehensive patient care coordination

Education and/or Requirements:

• Must have a Washington State MA Certificate or possess an MA Interim License and pass the exam within the 90‑day probationary period
• Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR within 90 days of hire date and is required to maintain current BLS CPR throughout employment
• EPIC experience preferred but not required
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred but not required
