How You'll Make An Impact

The Medical Assistant is responsible for performing the delegated nursing functions under the direction of the department leader and clinical nurses. This position is responsible for assisting with direct patient care and clerical duties that are an essential function in the coordination of optimal patient care, including, but not limited to scheduling patients, patient hygiene/toileting, mobility assistance, interdepartmental transportation, vital signs, charting, ordering supplies, cleaning and stocking patient areas, chart audits and interaction with all areas of the department.

What You’ll Need To Apply

This is for a full time position 8-5 Monday through Friday. No Weekends or Holidays.

Required Education

High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., certificate of high school equivalency) and successful completion of a medical assisting program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).

Required Experience

None required. Successful completion of a Medical Assistant externship and two (2) or more years of job-related experience preferred.

Preferred Experience

One (1) or more years of medial assisting experience.

Required Certification/License/Registry

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or the Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential from American Medical Technologists (AMT).

Preferred Certification

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification recognized by the American Heart Association (AHA)
