Job summary

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare is seeking a Medical Assistant to support nursing care for practice patients, assist with exams, perform lab work and venipuncture, and administer injections as ordered. The role coordinates patient calls and walk-ins in emergent situations and supports other clinical functions as needed.

Minimum education is a High School diploma or GED with Medical Assistant Certification; CCMA or RMA preferred for advancement within the outpatient setting.

Qualifications

Required Education:

Minimum: High School diploma or GED.

Required Experience:

Minimum: No experience required if medical assistant program has been completed and certification received.

Preferred: Two or more years of patient care, giving injections, working labs, etc. in an outpatient setting.

Required Certification/License/Registry:

Minimum: Medical Assistant Certification.

Preferred: Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
