Job summary

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH) is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our outpatient practice in Monticello, IL. You will perform lab work, venipuncture, prepare patients for exams, and assist providers with procedures, including injections under supervision.

Requires a high school diploma or GED and Medical Assistant certification; CCMA or RMA preferred. Certification plus experience in outpatient care is ideal; TMH offers equal opportunity employment.

How You'll Make An Impact

Job Summary

In this role you will assist in providing nursing care to the practice patients; help maintain the functions of a medical group practice; p rovide direct patient care by doing lab work and venipuncture; readying patients for exams; assisting providers with exams and procedures, and administering injections and treatments as orders. Coordinates patient calls/walk-ins in emergent situations. Assists in other functions of the medical group practice as needed. Tasks performed are in compliance with department and policies and procedures, and within educational preparation.

What You’ll Need To Apply

Required Education

Minimum: High School diploma or GED.

Required Experience

Minimum: No experience required if medical assistant program has been completed and certification received.

Preferred: Two or more years of patient care, giving injections, working labs, etc. in an outpatient setting.

Required Certification/License/Registry

Minimum: Medical Assistant Certification.

Preferred: Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
