Job summary

Saint Joseph Health System (Indiana) is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support ambulatory care providers with patient care and essential medical procedures. The role emphasizes patient comfort, safety, and efficient clinical workflow.

The position requires high school completion, plus completion of a medical assisting program (1-year or 2-year) and certification eligibility. Prior office experience and basic computer skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent and/or graduate of (1) a one-year medical assistant program (2) an accredited two-year medical assisting program.
• Certification and/or registration as a medical assistant through AAMA, AMT, NCCT or able to obtain within 90 days of hire. CPR certification or able to obtain within 60 days of hire.
• One to three years' experience in a medical or physician office preferred. Basic business office, clinical skills, and computer skills preferred.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND CORE COMPETENCIES
