Job summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers in Des Moines, WA, is seeking an on-call Medical Assistant to support patient flow and care coordination at our Des Moines Medical Clinic.

Ideal candidates will have excellent customer service, a professional demeanor, and the ability to multi-task. Licensure requirements include WA MA-Certificate or MA-Interim, and CPR within 90 days; EPIC experience is a plus, bilingual English/Spanish is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Must have Washington State MA-Certificate or MA-Interim License and pass exam within 90 days
• Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR within 90 days of hire and maintain current BLS CPR
• EPIC experience preferred but not required
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Follow protocol in rooming and exiting patients
• Complete all provider referrals for each patient
• Administer injections and distribute oral medications under physicians’ orders; perform venipuncture
• Assist the medical provider with charting office visits; ensure communication and documentation for care coordination

Position Summary

On call Medical Assistant position available for our Des Moines Medical Clinic. Ideal candidates will have proven excellent customer services skills, demonstrate an enthusiastic & professional demeanor, and excel at multi-tasking. Medical Assistants are an integral part of the care team, ensuring patient flow and providing quality patient care in a safe and timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Follow protocol in rooming and exiting patients
• Complete all provider referrals for each patient
• Administer injections and distribute oral medications under physicians’ order; perform venipuncture
• Assist the medical provider with charting office visits; ensuring communication and documentation for comprehensive patient care coordination

Education and/or Requirements

• Must have a Washington State MA-Certificate or possess an MA-Interim License and pass the exam within the 90-day probationary period
• Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR within 90 days of hire date and is required to maintain current BLS CPR throughout employment
• EPIC experience preferred but not required
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred, but not required
