Job summary

Providence Covenant Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to support licensed practitioners and assist in delivering patient care across our Texas clinics. You will perform duties within established policies, procedures, and regulations, ensuring safe, compassionate, and efficient clinical operations.

This role offers a $2,000 sign-on bonus for eligible hires and external candidates who meet payment conditions, with benefits starting on the first day.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a medical assistant program with hands-on clinical training.
• Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program.
• Completed 2 years of medical training in the U.S. Armed Forces or 1 year of MA-related clinical experience (vital signs, injections, meds).
• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.

Job description

The Medical Assistant works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. A Medical Assistant performs all aspects of the Associate Medical Assistant role and is fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for assigned clinic/location of work. A Medical Assistant is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

$2,000 Sign-On Bonus for eligible rehire and external candidates who meet all conditions for payment - this is in addition to the fantastic benefits and compensation package offered by Providence that begin on your first day of employment. For eligible positions with an FTE of less than 1.0, the sign-on bonus will be prorated based on FTE.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training Graduate of a school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants. Or
• Coursework/Training Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program. Or
• Coursework/Training Has completed 2 years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces. Or Minimum 1 year of work experience in a role similar to a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration.
• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• 6 months Healthcare experience.
• 6 months Medical Assistant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Upon hire: National Medical Assistant Certification
