Job summary

Saint Luke's Health System in the Kansas City area is hiring a Medical Assistant at our South location to support providers and nursing staff in delivering professional medical care. You will handle pre-visit planning, room patients, obtain and document vitals, and work in the EMR, scanning and downloading documents.

Duties include administering injections, vaccine coordination, telephone screening, completing EKGs, phlebotomy, and other clinic tasks.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, NRCMA, RMA, CCMA) required.
• BLS Certification required.
• 1 year experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pre-visit planning and rooming patients; obtain and document vitals.
• Assist providers and nursing team in delivering care and using the EMR system.
• Scan and download documents; administer injections; vaccine coordination.
• Perform phlebotomy and complete EKGs as assigned.
• May float to other metro clinics and mentor new staff.

We are hiring an MA at our South location. This position responsible for assisting providers and the nursing team in the delivery of professional medical care. Specific duties include pre-visit planning, rooming patients, obtaining & documenting vitals, utilizing the EMR system. Scanning and downloading of documents, administering injections, vaccine coordination, telephone screening (with protocols).

Complete EKGs, phlebotomy, and duties as assigned based on respective clinic need. Incumbent in position must have excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor at all times. Position may float as needed to other clinic practices in metro and outreach location. May participate in mentoring or precepting new employees as needed.

Required

• Medical Assistant Certification required (CMA, NRCMA, RMA, CCMA)
• BLS Certification required
