Job summary

Saint Luke's Health System is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support the Cardiovascular Consultants East Clinic in Lees Summit, MO. You will assist providers and the nursing team in delivering professional care in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include pre-visit planning, rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, performing EKGs and finger-stick tests, documenting in the medical record, and supporting the team with patient care, while mentoring new staff and occasionally

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, NRCMA, RMA, or CCMA) required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• One year of MA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pre-visit planning and patient chart preparation.
• Rooming patients and obtaining/documenting vital signs.
• Performing EKGs and finger-stick testing.
• Telephone screening using established protocols.
• Scanning and downloading documents into the medical record.
• Supporting providers and nursing staff with patient care activities.
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation.

• Floating to other metro and outreach clinic locations as needed.
