Job summary

Saint Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, MO is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant for our high-risk breast program. The MA will support providers in evaluation, management, and delivery of professional care in a busy multi-specialty practice, and will float between Saint Luke’s North and Saint Luke’s Hospital as needed.

The role requires strong customer service, positive attitude, and teamwork. Day shift from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with potential cross-site coverage.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of applicable experience.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to manage patient flow.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent patient experience by managing the flow of patients and maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Conduct Pre-visit plans, room patients and obtain vitals.
• Phlebotomy as part of patient care.
• Utilize the EMR system and scan/download documents.
• Conduct telephone screening with protocols.
• Obtain prior authorizations.
