Shift Details

Will work four (4) - 10 hour shifts Monday - Thursday or Tuesday - Friday.

Role

As a Medical Assistant at Intermountain Health, you will support our clinical team to ensure patients receive the best care by:

• Providing patient care under the direction of the clinician, assisting with gathering relevant information.
• Communicating clearly with patients via phone and in person.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to coordinate patient care, with attention to detail and follow-up.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current American Heart Association (BLS) certification for healthcare providers, obtained prior to start date.
• Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program OR at least one year of Medical Assistant work experience OR current active RN/LPN license in Montana.
• Basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry.
• Professional manner with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively, protect patient privacy, confidentiality, and PHI.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in outpatient clinics or healthcare settings.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Current national MA certification (RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or CMA).

Physical and Other Requirements

Includes manual dexterity, ability to lift and transfer patients, navigate busy rooms, and potentially drive vehicles.

Grand Junction Cardiothoracic, Grand Junction, CO, Colorado.

Work Schedule

40 hours per week.
