Job description

*Job Summary:* We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our rheumatology team. The ideal candidate will assist rheumatologists with patient care, perform various clinical and administrative tasks, and ensure the smooth operation of the rheumatology department.
*Key Responsibilities:*

* Assist rheumatologists with patient examinations and procedures.
* Perform blood draws and other specimen collections with precision and care.
* Record patient information, vital signs, and medical histories accurately.
* Prepare and administer medications and treatments as directed by the physician.
* Provide patient education and support regarding rheumatology treatments and procedures.
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all medical equipment is sterilized and ready for use.
* Schedule appointments, manage patient records, and handle administrative tasks as needed.
* Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and safety standards.
*Qualifications:*

* Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification.
* Previous experience in a rheumatology setting is preferred.
* Proficiency in phlebotomy and blood draw techniques.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and patient demeanor.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
* CPR and First Aid certification.
* Bilingual in Spanish and English.
* Knowledge of rheumatology-specific medical terminology and procedures.
*Pay and Benefits*
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
