Job summary

Goodwill North Central Texas is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant, Billing and Coding Instructor to deliver comprehensive instruction in Medical Assisting, Billing, and Coding at our Fort Worth campus.

The role requires an Associate degree or higher in Medical Assisting or a related field, CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA and CPC/CCS/CCS-P/RHIT/RHIA/CBCS certifications, and at least three years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Medical Assisting or related healthcare field.
• Must hold CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA and CPC/CCS/CCS-P/RHIT/RHIA/CBCS certifications.
• Minimum three years of recent occupational experience in Medical Assisting, Billing, Coding or Revenue Cycle Management.
• Prior teaching experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom, laboratory, and online instruction in Medical Assisting, Medical Office Administration, Billing and Coding.
• Teach courses such as Anatomy & Physiology, Medical Terminology, Clinical Procedures, Pharmacology, HIPAA Compliance, EHR and CPT/ICD-10-CM coding.
• Evaluate student performance through demonstrations, assignments, quizzes, and exams; provide feedback and tutoring as needed.
• Maintain instructional records and participate in curriculum reviews and accreditation processes.
• Develop relationships with healthcare employers for externships and industry engagement.
