Position: Medical Assistant - Bilingual Korean

Mission City Community Network (MCCN), a not-for-profit organization with several clinics, operates as a Federally Qualified Health Center serving low-income families in the San Fernando Valley, San Gabriel Valley, Los Angeles, and San Bernardino areas. MCCN is committed to providing high-quality care and services including pediatrics, family medicine, ob/gyn, dentistry, health education, and mental health.

Position: Medical Assistant

Location: Korea Town / Los Angeles

*Note: The selected candidate must be willing and able to assist in coverage at other clinic locations (Inglewood, Fairfax) as needed.

Status: Full-Time (40 hrs/wk)

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM

Duties and Responsibilities:

The candidate will handle duties related to front and back office tasks, including:

Patient care:

• Obtain vital signs, prepare and review chart notes according to clinic policy.
• Assist providers with procedures and diagnostic examinations, translate as needed, perform CLIA waived tests, administer immunizations, and handle specimens.

Laboratory duties:

• Assist with specimen collection, EKGs, autoclaving, and maintaining instruments and logs.

Miscellaneous tasks:

• Stock supplies, maintain cleanliness and orderliness of rooms, assist with ordering supplies, and participate in organized programs and trainings.

Patient education:

Provide basic health education under clinician supervision.

Front and Back Office:

• Assist with phone calls, scheduling, patient eligibility, and documentation.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience in drawing blood and administering vaccines.
• High School Diploma/GED; Medical Assistant Diploma required.
• California Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA) preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Minimum 1+ year experience in a clinical setting.
• Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation required.
