Job summary

Ozarks Community Hospital, Inc. seeks a Medical Assistant to join the Behavioral Health team at Evergreen Clinic in Springfield, Missouri.

The MA will provide patient care in an outpatient setting under supervision and participate in comprehensive clinical support to patients and providers. Responsibilities include assisting with assessments, documenting patient information, and coordinating with the care team.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 1 year of related experience in a medical clinic or office.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or Red Cross; recertification before expiration.
• Float positions require a valid Driver's License.
• Motor Vehicle Driving Record background check will be completed during onboarding and throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in the office setting under supervision of nursing and physician staff.
• Maintain regulatory requirements and office policies, procedures and standards.
• Communicate with physicians and team members about patient clinical condition, including results and symptoms.

Ozarks Community Hospital (OCH), located in Springfield, MO, is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) to join our Behavioral Health department at Evergreen Clinic.

The Medical Assistant provides patient care in the office setting. Provides care that meets the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care; meets the communication needs of patient and family; provides care that reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations, under the supervision of a Licensed Practical Nurse, Registered Nurse and/or physician and clinic manager. Maintains regulatory requirements, nursing and office policies, procedures and standards. Communicates with physicians and team members about patient's clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.

Requirements:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 1 year of related experience working in a medical clinic or office, preferred.
• Must hold a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross. Recertification required before expiration throughout employment.
• Float positions require a Valid Driver's License.
• If float, valid Driver's License required. This requires a Motor Vehicle Driving Record Background Check to be completed during the onboarding new hire process and throughout employment.
