Job summary

Logan Health in Whitefish, MT is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant for our Behavioral Health Clinic. The role supports patient care, clinic flow, and daily operations, with 25 hours per week.

You will greet patients, take histories and vitals, assist providers, collect specimens, document in the EMR, and coordinate referrals and follow-ups. Candidates must be certified MAs with BLS and be comfortable in a compassionate, confidential setting.

Qualifications

• RMA or CMA certification is required.
• RQI Provider (BLS) within seven days of hire.
• Experience in behavioral health, mental health services, or related healthcare setting preferred.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Greet, room, and prepare patients for appointments, including histories and vital signs.
• Assist behavioral health providers with examinations and treatments while prioritizing comfort and safety.
• Collect laboratory specimens and document patient information in the EMR.
• Coordinate patient care activities: referrals, prior authorizations, scheduling, and follow-ups.
• Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supplies; assist with patient calls and portal messages.
