Job summary

Park Nicollet is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the Bariatrics team. The role supports providers with patient care, ancillary services, and office operations in line with PNHS policies.

Fulltime 0.8 FTE with a Monday–Friday 7am–5pm schedule. Candidates should have graduated from a CAAHEP/ABHES-accredited MA program and hold BLS certification, plus strong communication and computer skills to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Medical Assisting program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES.
• BLS provider status per AHA guidelines.
• Strong clinical and human relations skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing and maintain standards of clinical skills and ethics as per AAMA.
• Basic computer/keyboard/mouse skills.
• Knowledge of age-related growth and development for patient safety.
• Operates health testing equipment, PC, copier, printer, FAX, and phone.

Position Summary

Utilizing broad-based skills in basic patient care, ancillary services, and business office practices, aids providers in accordance with PNHS standard and policies.

Work Schedule

Fulltime .8 fte. Variable Monday through Friday 7am to 5pm.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate from a Medical Assisting program accredited by The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).
• BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines.
• Strong clinical and human relations skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing and maintain standards of clinical skills and professional ethics as established by the AAMA.
• Basic computer/keyboarding/mouse skills required.
• Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and ensure safety of patients.
• Safely and effectively operate the following: Various Health Testing Equipment (depending upon specialty area), Personal Computer, Photocopier, Printer, FAX Machine, and Telephone.

Preferred Qualifications

• One or more years of experience desirable (preferably in a related field of medicine).
