Job summary

HealthPartners' Park Nicollet Anticoagulation team in Bloomington, MN is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) to support providers and ensure smooth daily operations.

The MA will prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, maintain accurate records, assist with procedures, and uphold safety and privacy protocols in a fast-paced clinical setting. BLS certification required; graduation from an accredited MA program is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Medical Assisting program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES.
• Current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross (online BLS not acceptable).
• One or more years of healthcare experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations.

Position Summary:

The Medical Assistant supports our providers by performing a variety of clinical duties to ensure efficient patient care and smooth daily operations. Responsibilities include preparing patients for examinations, taking vital signs, maintaining accurate medical records, assisting with procedures, and ensuring compliance with safety, privacy and clinical protocols. The Medical Assistant serves as a key liaison between patients and the healthcare team, delivering high-quality, compassionate care in a fast-paced medical environment.

Work Schedule:

• Monday-Friday
• 8:00am-5:00pm

Required Qualifications:

Medical Assistant (MA): Graduate from a Medical Assisting program accredited by “The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES). Current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required and maintained. On-line BLS certification is not acceptable.

Preferred Qualifications:

One or more years of healthcare experience is desirable (preferably in a related field of medicine).
