Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Baptist Heart Specialists office on University Blvd in Jacksonville, FL. This full-time daytime role involves back-office duties, rooming patients, and performing EKGs under physician supervision.

Qualified applicants will have experience in patient care, and CMA certification is preferred or required. A High School diploma or GED is required, with BLS certification mandatory.

Qualifications

• Over 5 years Patient Care Experience.
• Experience in physician offices preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred or required depending on role.

Responsibilities

• Provides medical assistance to physician.
• Obtains vital signs.
• Greets and chaperones patients during visits.
• Maintains medical documentation.
• Schedules care, treatment, and tests per physician.
• Processes prescription requests and referrals.
