Job summary

Center for Primary Care is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant - Back Office to support providers in delivering compassionate, high-quality care in a busy, on-site setting.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Registered MA, Certified MA, or current LPN required. BLS or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of Medical Office experience.
  • Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records and ability to document accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional patient experiences by preparing patients for visits, documenting clinical information, and ensuring each patient is treated with compassion, dignity, and respect.
  • Partner with physicians and care team to provide efficient, high-quality clinical care and maintain patient flow.
  • Perform clinical duties within certification requirements, including administering medications and immunizations, collecting specimens, conducting diagnostic testing, and reinforcing patient education and treatment plans.
  • Coordinate patient care activities, including referrals, testing, follow-ups, and communication to support continuity of care and improved health outcomes.
  • Maintain exam rooms, equipment, supplies, and documentation in compliance with infection prevention, safety, privacy, and regulatory requirements while supporting a positive care environment.
  • Contribute to CPC's culture of joy, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement through training and quality initiatives.

Certified Medical Assistant - Back Office

The Certified Medical Assistant is responsible for supporting providers in the delivery of compassionate, high-quality, patient-centered care by performing clinical and administrative duties that promote health, wellbeing, and positive patient experiences. This role serves as an important member of the care team, fostering meaningful patient relationships, coordinating care, and contributing to a joyful, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, families, and coworkers.

Key Responsibilities:

Essential Functions

  • Deliver exceptional patient experiences by preparing patients for visits, obtaining and documenting clinical information, and ensuring each patient is treated with compassion, dignity, and respect.
  • Partner with physicians, advanced practice providers, and care team members to provide efficient, high-quality clinical care, assist with examinations and procedures, and maintain effective patient flow.
  • Perform clinical duties within certification and training requirements, including administering medications and immunizations, collecting specimens, conducting diagnostic testing, and reinforcing patient education and treatment plans.
  • Coordinate patient care activities, including referrals, diagnostic testing, follow-up appointments, and communication that supports continuity of care and improved health outcomes.
  • Maintain exam rooms, equipment, supplies, and documentation in compliance with infection prevention, safety, privacy, and regulatory requirements while supporting a positive and professional care environment.
  • Contribute to CPC's culture of joy, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement through active participation in training, quality initiatives, and organizational goals.

Requirements
Qualifications for Success:

Education:High School graduate or GED required.

Licensure/Certification: Registered MA, Certified MA, or current LPN required. Basic Life Support or be able to obtain within 6 months.

Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of Medical Office experience.

Additional Job Details:

Work Setting:On-site.Well-lit medical office environment

Job Type:Full-Time

Schedule:Monday thru Friday 8:00AM to 5:00PM, with a late night, and ability to work flexible and extended hours, as needed.

Mental/Physical Requirements: Stooping, turning, bending, squatting, kneeling and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds; constant/repetitive standing; rehires normal, correctable vision and hearing.

Compensation:Market competitive base pay, commensurate with education and experience.
