University Hospitals Pain Management in Avon, Ohio is seeking a Medical Assistant to perform essential duties including managing patient flow and assisting with front desk tasks. This position involves not only basic medical assisting but also requires coordination among medical assistants and facilitating process improvements.

The selected candidate will work independently, engage with patients for scheduling, and ensure verification of patient documentation. A competitive new grad rate of $18.00-$18.50/hr is offered.

A Brief Overview

This position is responsible for performing basic Medical Assisting duties.

• Independently performing advanced MA duties which may include advanced procedures, coordination of work for other MA’s, or performing patient or population based care navigation (MA III only)

What You Will Do

New Grad Rate is $18.00-$18.50/hr

Facilitates unit operations by managing patient flow.

Assist with front desk duties specific to department, including scheduling patients, collecting and verifying patient payor information and other patient documentation.

• Completely independent with all front desk duties specific to department / Assists manager with developing and facilitating process improvement initiatives. (MA III)

Additional Responsibilities

Performs other duties as assigned.

Complies with all policies and standards.

Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
