Medical Assistant - Astoria page is loaded## Medical Assistant - Astorialocations: Astoria 2, NY 11103posted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: R-100664**Job Description:**ENT and Allergy Associates (ENTA), one of the nation's largest ENT, Allergy, and Audiology practices, is seeking a Full-Time **Medical Assistant** for our **Astoria** office.**Hourly:** $23/hr**Responsibilities:*** Welcome patients in person or by phone; respond to or route inquiries appropriately* Prepare patients for appointments by directing or accompanying them to exam rooms* Verify and record patient information, including medical history and reason for visit* Assist providers during examinations and procedures* Prepare laboratory specimens and perform basic in-office lab testing* Maintain sterile instruments and properly dispose of contaminated supplies* Educate patients on medications and provide instructions as directed* Accurately document examinations, treatments, and test results* Maintain inventory of medical supplies and ensure equipment is functioning properly* Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations**Job Requirements & Qualifications:*** Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment* Ability to work independently and as part of a team* Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred* Experience with Epic EMR preferred* Strong patient service skills with a commitment to delivering a positive patient experience**Education / Certification Requirements:**Completion of a Medical Assistant program or certification such as CMA or RMA.
