Job summary

ENT and Allergy Associates (ENTA) in Brooklyn Heights is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support providers, prepare patients for exams, and perform basic in-office testing.

Schedule includes weekdays with occasional Saturday shifts; benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision insurance, 401(k), FSA, and life insurance.

Strong patient service and Epic EMR experience are preferred; CMA/RMA certification or MA training is valued.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant program or CMA/RMA certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, EMT certification, or 5+ years MA experience may be considered.
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients in person or by phone and route inquiries.
• Prepare patients for appointments and escort them to exam rooms.
• Verify patient information and medical history and reason for visit.
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures.
• Prepare laboratory specimens and perform basic in-office testing.
• Maintain sterile instruments and proper disposal of contaminated supplies.
• Educate patients on medications and provide instructions.
• Document examinations, treatments, and test results accurately.
• Maintain inventory of medical supplies and ensure equipment functions properly.
• Uphold patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

Job Description

ENT and Allergy Associates (ENTA), one of the nation’s largest ENT, Allergy, and Audiology practices, is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant for our Brooklyn Heights office.

Hourly: $23/hr

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients in person or by phone;
• respond to or route inquiries appropriately
• Prepare patients for appointments by directing or accompanying them to exam rooms
• Verify and record patient information, including medical history and reason for visit
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures
• Prepare laboratory specimens and perform basic in‑office lab testing
• Maintain sterile instruments and properly dispose of contaminated supplies
• Educate patients on medications and provide instructions as directed
• Accurately document examinations, treatments, and test results
• Maintain inventory of medical supplies and ensure equipment is functioning properly
• Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations

Job Requirements & Qualifications

• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
• Strong patient service skills with a commitment to delivering a positive patient experience

Education / Certification Requirements

• Completion of a Medical Assistant program or certification such as CMA or RMA.
• Alternatively, candidates with any of the following qualifications will be considered:
• Bachelor’s degree in Biology
• Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification
• Five (5) years of continuous experience working as a Medical Assistant

Schedule

• Monday: 8:00am-5:00pm
• Tuesday: 8:00am-5:00pm
• Wednesday: 8:00am-4:00pm
• Thursday: 8:00am-5:00pm
• Friday: 8:0am-3:30pm
• Saturday (1-2 per month): 8:00 - 12:00PM
