Jobtailor is recruiting for a 12-month Medical Assistant Apprenticeship in Bellevue, WA, to train and qualify for CMA credentials and a subsequent full-time role with Overlake Clinics. You will complete hundreds of hours of hands-on practice, online coursework, and in-person labs, while supporting patients in a primary care setting.

The program requires English proficiency, CPR/First Aid, and a 3-year commitment with full-time hours and weekday shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Current Health Provider CPR certification and First Aid training required prior to start date.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Preference for those with healthcare or customer service experience and commitment to goals.
• 3-year commitment required.
• Full-Time, 40 hours/week.
• Monday-Friday schedule.
• 8 or 10-hour day shift.
• Complete Application and Cover Letter describing your interest and 3-year commitment.
• Resume required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the 12-month Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program.
• Complete 2000 hours of on-the-job training and 364 hours of online coursework; ~10 hours/week online coursework.
• Support patients with scheduled Primary Care Provider visits, lab visits, and immunization visits.
• Greet and escort patients from the lobby after front-desk check-in.
• Collect health information and document data in the Epic EMR.
• Provide Point of Care Testing based on protocols.
• Answer general questions in person, by phone, and electronically.
• Assist with in-office procedures.
• Perform phlebotomy and lab specimen preparation.
• Work in an Overlake primary care or specialty clinic in the Eastside community.
• Upon completion, work as a full-time Certified Medical Assistant with Overlake Clinics for at least 2 years.
• Obtain WA MA-C and CCMA credentials within three months of program completion.
