Job summary

International Community Health Services (ICHS) is recruiting a Medical Assistant Apprentice to support hands-on patient care in a community health setting. This learning role provides supervised practice to develop into a Medical Assistant I, aligning with our mission to serve diverse communities in the Seattle region.

The program welcomes individuals pursuing the required WACMHC MA Apprenticeship, with DOH HIV/AIDS training and BLS certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Acceptance into WACMHC MA Apprenticeship Program required/preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred; HIV/AIDS training is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform a variety of patient care tasks under direct supervision.
• Assist with administrative duties and medical workflow in a clinical setting.
• Participate in on-the-job training to become a Medical Assistant I.

Job Summary

The Medical Assistant Apprentice role is designed to provide hands-on training and practical experience in a clinical healthcare setting, preparing the apprentice to become a competent and confident medical assistant. Medical Assistant Apprentice is a learning role where the employee observes and performs a variety of patient care and administrative duty under direct supervision in the course of on-the-job training to become a Medical Assistant I.
