Job summary

Northwestern Medicine in Lake Forest is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant on the Lake Forest Hospital campus. You will support physicians, nurses and staff, manage patient flow, and assist with procedures and exams, with travel to the Glenview Outpatient facility as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, BLS/CPR certification, and 0–2 years of experience; completion of MA program is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current certification in MA or eligibility required (AAMA, AMT, NCCT, NHA, NRCMA).
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• 0–2 years experience in a relevant role.
• Strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient patient flow and prepare exam rooms.
• Obtain vital signs and document visit details.
• Assist with ECG, venipuncture, immunizations and specimen collection.
• Maintain inventory and disinfect/sterilize equipment.
• Support clinicians and communicate with patients professionally.
• Perform delegated duties and assist with clinic operations.
