Job summary

Southern New Hampshire Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support in an ambulatory practice. You will escort patients, document vitals, assist providers, administer immunizations, and manage patient flow with a focus on a superior patient experience.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or MA program graduate, BLS, strong communication skills, and experience with electronic medical records such as Epic. We offer competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or a minimum of three (3) years of Medical Assistant experience.
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain within established timeframe.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
• Basic computer proficiency and experience working with electronic medical records.
• Preferred CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to examination rooms and prepare them for provider visits.
• Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, medications, allergies, and chief complaints.
• Assist providers with examinations and office procedures.
• Administer immunizations, medications, and injections within scope of practice.
• Perform point-of-care testing and specimen collection as appropriate.
• Prepare and maintain exam rooms, clinical supplies, and equipment.
