Escort patients to exam rooms, document vital signs and histories, assist with examinations, administer vaccines, perform point‑of‑care testing, and manage exams rooms and supplies.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, or at least 3 years MA experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills are essential.
  • Basic computer proficiency and experience with electronic medical records (EMR) required.

Responsibilities

  • Escort patients to examination rooms and prepare them for provider visits.
  • Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, medications, allergies, and chief complaints.
  • Assist providers with examinations and office procedures.
  • Administer immunizations, medications, and injections within scope of practice.
  • Perform point-of-care testing and specimen collection as appropriate.
  • Prepare and maintain exam rooms, clinical supplies, and equipment.
  • Document patient information accurately within the electronic medical record.
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate patient follow-up care.
  • Process referrals, prior authorizations, and prescription refill requests.
  • Answer patient calls and portal messages while providing outstanding customer service.
  • Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and quality care initiatives.
  • Participate in practice and organizational meetings, trainings, and process improvement activities.
