Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• BLS Certification required within 90 days of service.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations by rooming, taking vitals, and recording medical histories.
• Perform routine lab tests and collect/label specimens.
• Maintain accurate patient records in EMR and paper files.
• Assist with patient inquiries and triage urgent needs to nurse/provider.
• Obtain insurance information and demographics, including prior authorizations.
• Ensure cleanliness of patient rooms and manage supplies/inventory.
• Protect patient confidentiality per HIPAA regulations.
• Participate in staff development and meetings.
• Deliver excellent customer service to patients and providers.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
