Job summary

UF Health Gainesville is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide patient care in a physician’s office under supervision of a licensed physician. The MA may perform clerical, insurance, and medical record duties and may float to other UF Health practices to assist staffing needs.

Qualified candidates are graduates of an accredited MA program with CMA/RMA certification; EMT may substitute. CPR/BLS required within 90 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited MA program with CMA/RMA certification.
• Minimum of 1 year direct patient care experience in ambulatory setting preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required or within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a physician's office under supervision of a licensed physician.
• Perform clerical, insurance, and medical record functions as needed.
• May float to other UFHP practices to support staffing.
