Job summary

AllerVie Health is seeking a Medical Assistant in Oxford, AL, to support the allergy and immunology clinic team. You will gather patient histories, reconcile medications, and update electronic medical records with accuracy, while assisting with allergy testing and immunotherapy under supervision.

The position requires familiarity with allergy practices, a patient-centered approach, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Oxford location at 641 Snow Street, Oxford, AL 36203.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with patients in a medical setting.
• Understanding of basic medical terminology.
• Knowledge of EMR system.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program and Medical Assistant certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs and document them accurately.
• Assist with allergy testing, procedures, and immunotherapy preparations.
• Maintain clean and stocked exam rooms.
• Document activities in EMR in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with Department Lead on clinical, supply, HR, facilities, or billing matters.
• Provide patient education and anticipatory guidance during visits.
• Travel to other clinics if needed.
