Job summary

AllerVie Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to join its allergy and immunology clinic in Towson, MD. The role supports clinical teams by gathering patient histories, reconciling medications, and updating EMR with precision.

Responsibilities include assisting with allergy testing, immunotherapy administration, and ensuring safe, high‑quality patient care in a collaborative team setting.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant program and Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Previous experience working with patients in a medical setting.
• Understanding of basic medical terminology.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates appropriate technique for obtaining vital signs including height/weight, BP, pulse, respiration, temperature, and O2 saturation.
• Obtain spirometry and Niox testing with patient coaching.
• Support allergy testing, diagnostic and treatment procedures, and immunotherapy administration.
• Keep exam rooms stocked and clean.
• Document activities accurately in EMR and communicate with Department Lead and team as needed.
• Travel to other clinics for staffing needs.
