Job summary

Porch Light Health seeks a dedicated Medical Assistant to support both clinical and administrative tasks in an outpatient addiction treatment setting. The role includes patient vitals, injections, appointment coordination, and insurance liaison while ensuring accurate records and smooth clinic operations.

In this fast-paced environment, travel to multiple rural locations is required, and travel logistics will be supported by the company vehicle.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent certification.
• Experience with EMR systems (1+ year) preferred.
• Phlebotomy skills are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate appointment scheduling and rescheduling with patients.
• Submit and track insurance prior authorizations.
• Take and record vitals, perform injections, and communicate with patients.
• Serve as insurance liaison for coverage questions.
• Maintain professional communication with providers and staff.
• Assist with clinic data management, filing, and records.
• Aid in opening/closing the clinic and ensuring smooth operations.
• Educate patients on forms and medical protocols related to addiction treatment.
