This is an entry-level administrative position working in a fast paced, high volume outpatient clinical setting. MA’s are responsible for dealing directly with the public, answering questions over the phone, and entering demographic & medical data into a computer database. Strong communication skills are required, as this position is required to provide program information, answer client questions, and explain policies. This position may also be required to schedule/reschedule appointments, and file client records. Applicant should be detail-oriented and be able to multi-task.
Updates EHR as necessary and prepares clients to be sign by provider. Takes vital signs, height and weight and documents adherence questions and updates EHR accordingly. Informs providers of any known abnormal lab or diagnostic results and informs provider when patients are ready to be seen.
