Neighborhood Health Association (NHA) is hiring a Medical Assistant to support providers across multiple clinics in Toledo, OH. This full-time role focuses on patient triage, records management, and front-office/clinical tasks under supervision.

Ideal candidates are grads from an accredited Medical Assistant program, with CPR certification or willingness to obtain it. New grads welcome; commitment to confidentiality and culturally sensitive care is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• New grads welcome.
• Current certification in CPR or willingness to become CPR certified (we offer the CPR class monthly if needed).
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Shows initiative and ability to use sound judgment in the absence of specific orders.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
• Must be sensitive to cultural, religious, and ethnic diversity.
• Experience in working with medically underserved preferred.
• Regular, punctual attendance is a requirement of this position.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers and medical staff with clinical and administrative tasks.
• Triage patients and maintain accurate patient records.
• Greet patients courteously and ensure confidentiality of information.
• Follow QA, policies, and procedures; participate in meetings.
• Maintain safe, compliant work environment and adhere to regulations.
• Perform duties as assigned by manager.
