General Purpose

The Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support to healthcare providers to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality patient care within the clinic.

Key Responsibilities

• Room and prepare patients for exams, including obtaining vital signs and documenting in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
• Assist providers with patient care, procedures, and administering medications and immunizations per protocol
• Collect and process laboratory specimens
• Schedule referrals and maintain referral tracking in the EHR
• Provide patient education as directed by the provider
• Assist with prescription refills under provider approval
• Maintain exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and stock medical supplies
• Perform diagnostic and pre-exam testing as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and daily EHR worklists
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and quality improvement activities
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and support clinic operations

Qualifications
