Job summary

Ampla Health in Chico, CA is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support providers and ensure high-quality patient care in our clinic.

You will greet and room patients, take vitals, document in EHR, assist with exams, administer medications and immunizations, and help manage referrals. Candidates must have MA certification, an accredited MA program, CPR, and strong communication and organization skills; EHR experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant Certification required.
• Completion of an accredited MA training program.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and room patients; take vital signs and document in EHR.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and care plans.
• Administer medications and immunizations per protocol.
• Collect and process lab specimens.
• Manage referrals, follow-ups, and patient education.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and follow infection control guidelines.
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and quality improvement activities.
