UMMG - Community Health Delivery - Palm Beach Gardens has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Medical Assistant (MA) 2. The incumbent will perform multi-skilled tasks to assist medical providers, supporting patient healthcare management and clinical procedures in a culturally competent manner, adhering to standards of quality, safety, and service. The MA 2 provides hands-on care under the supervision of a licensed physician, following ethical, legal, and institutional standards, and contributes to a compassionate, healing environment.
The MA 2 provides overall care with kindness, supporting patients' individual needs and respecting their spiritual beliefs. Encourages honest communication and creates a safe environment for physical and spiritual healing. Establishes trust through authentic presence, manages discomforts, and provides emotional support.
Prioritizes tasks effectively, communicates clearly, and seeks assistance when needed. Participates in team activities, maintains positive morale, and utilizes technology for communication and documentation. Committed to ongoing learning and professional development, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and accommodating patients with LEP.
Performs within the clinical scope, adhering to standards and regulations. Accepts constructive feedback with kindness and promotes growth and self-esteem.
Note: In hospital units, MA 2s do not perform medication administration.

Note: Active MA certification or proof of completion from an approved program is required; exceptions may apply.
Additional certifications such as AHA BLS and Florida HIV/AIDS CE are preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of previous experience required.
