UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA seeks a Medical Assistant to join the Oncology Clinic, delivering patient care including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, injections, and routine clinical procedures under supervision.
The candidate should have a High School Diploma, BLS/Heart Saver certification, and an MA DOH‑approved Medical Assistant credential within one year of hire. Strong organization and communication are essential.
Exemption Status: Non-Exempt
Hiring Range: $20.60 - $32.82 (final offer may vary based on experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.)
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:45am-5:15pm (40 hours per week). Shift: Day Shift, 8 hours.

Unless certification, licensure, or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted.
The position requires work indoors in a patient care office or clinic environment. Hand dexterity, hearing, and vision are required to take direction from a patient or provider, adjust equipment, observe, and describe patient observations. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Work is of medium demand, standing and walking most of the time with the possibility of pushing heavy equipment and bending frequently.
