Quality Talent Group is seeking a Medical Assistant for a busy healthcare network in the Cincinnati region. The role supports physicians with patient exams, documentation, EMR entry, and routine diagnostic tasks.

The ideal candidate will have a Medical Assistant program graduate or equivalent experience, a high school diploma, BLS certification, and strong computer, communication, and clinical skills. The position includes comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program or relevant experience in medical assisting.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with examination and treatment under physician direction.
• Maintain patient flow and document review of systems, vitals, medical history, and medications.
• Record patient information in the EMR and prepare charts by scanning, abstracting, and reviewing records.
• Obtain diagnostic test results, hospital reports, and other records from outside facilities as needed.
• Process medication refills and pre-authorizations while communicating with patients, pharmacies, and insurers.
• Maintain patient samples and medications, order supplies as needed.
• Prepare and maintain clean, fully supplied exam rooms.
• Support medical decision-making with pertinent information per office protocols.
• Answer calls, respond to MyChart messages, schedule appointments, and check patients in/out.
• Manage EMR/Practice Management in-baskets and work queues.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain patient samples and medications, dispose of expired medications, and order medical supplies as needed.
• Prepare and maintain clean, fully supplied examination rooms.
• Obtain pertinent medical information to support medical decision-making according to office protocols.
• Answer calls, respond to MyChart messages, schedule appointments, and check patients in and out.
• Manage EMR/Practice Management in-baskets, workflow logs, work queues, and related office tasks.
• Complete pre-certifications for prescriptions, procedures, and surgeries as needed.
• Operate EKGs, cardiac monitors, and other equipment to perform routine diagnostic tests.
• Perform clinical duties such as phlebotomy and cast removal as assigned.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with safety, legal, quality, and patient experience standards.
• May assist with training new employees or coordinate/oversee work queues in the office.
