Our mission is to provide compassionate, evidence-based mental health care while helping advance the future of psychiatric treatment through ethical clinical research and innovative therapeutic approaches. With continued expansion across Florida, our organization offers physicians the opportunity to grow within a collaborative, high-performing environment focused on clinical excellence, innovation, operational efficiency, and long-term professional development.

We are committed to creating an environment where physicians can thrive clinically, professionally, and financially while working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team dedicated to exceptional patient care.

Who You Are

You are a compassionate, dependable, and relationship-oriented Medical Assistant who understands the importance of building trust with providers, residents, and patients. You take pride in being approachable, responsive, organized, and proactive while supporting clinical workflows and maintaining strong communication across the care team. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced behavioral health environment, anticipating provider needs, supporting clinical residents, and contributing to a collaborative environment centered on patient safety and quality care.

What You’ll Do

The Medical Assistant supports daily clinical operations by building strong working relationships with providers, psychiatric residents, clinical staff, and patients. This role serves as an important connection between providers and the clinical support team, helping ensure efficient patient flow, accurate documentation, timely communication, and a positive clinical experience. Success in this position requires initiative, professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate clinical needs while fostering a supportive and collaborative environment.

  • Clinical Documentation and Record Management: Assist with preparing, organizing, and maintaining accurate patient records, clinical documentation, medication lists, and other relevant medical information. Ensure documentation is completed and routed appropriately to support provider workflows and continuity of care.
  • Clinical Workflow Coordination: Coordinate daily clinical activities to support providers and psychiatric residents, including preparing examination rooms, organizing patient schedules, assisting with patient flow, and anticipating operational needs to minimize workflow disruptions.
  • Communication and Relationship Building: Establish and maintain professional, respectful, and collaborative relationships with physicians, psychiatric residents, advanced practice providers, and clinical team members. Maintain open communication, respond promptly to requests, and help create an environment where providers and residents feel supported and equipped to deliver quality care.
  • Patient Preparation and Clinical Support: Prepare patients for appointments by obtaining vital signs, updating medication and medical histories, documenting relevant information, and ensuring necessary records are available for provider review. Assist with clinical procedures and treatments within the scope of training, competency, and applicable regulations.
  • Provider and Resident Support: Serve as a dependable clinical support partner to providers and psychiatric residents by understanding individual workflow preferences, preparing necessary materials, assisting with patient encounters, and helping resolve routine operational challenges. Demonstrate professionalism, adaptability, and discretion when supporting clinical decision‑making and patient care.
  • Quality Assurance and Patient Safety: Follow established clinical protocols, infection control standards, safety procedures, and documentation requirements. Identify and communicate potential concerns, incomplete documentation, or workflow issues promptly to the appropriate clinical leadership.
  • Team Collaboration and Accountability: Work collaboratively with front desk, back office, providers, residents, and administrative teams to maintain consistent communication, efficient patient transitions, and a positive working environment. Demonstrate ownership of assigned responsibilities and contribute to continuous operational improvement.
  • Other Duties as Assigned: Perform additional clinical and administrative responsibilities as assigned to support organizational priorities, patient care, and the evolving needs of the clinical team.
What You’ll Bring
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Medical Assistant diploma or certificate from an accredited medical assisting program preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient medical practice, behavioral health, psychiatry, or other clinical setting preferred.
  • Credentials: Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or equivalent credential preferred. Current CPR/BLS certification required or the ability to obtain within the established onboarding period.
  • Clinical Competencies: Knowledge of vital signs, patient preparation, medical terminology, medication reconciliation, infection control, clinical documentation, and basic clinical procedures.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to establish professional relationships with physicians, psychiatric residents, patients, and multidisciplinary teams.
