Responsibilities

  • Monitor patients and report concerns.
  • Review provider documentation to assist patient questions.
  • Prepare exam and treatment rooms before/after visits.
  • Maintain infection control and safety standards.

Salary Range: $19.00 To $20.00 Annually

Position Summary

The Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support to providers and the healthcare team to ensure the efficient operation of the practice while delivering exceptional patient care. This position assists with patient intake, clinical procedures, medication administration, scheduling, documentation, and coordination of care in a fast-paced psychiatric and behavioral health setting.

The ideal candidate is compassionate, dependable, organized, and committed to providing high‑quality patient care while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for examinations and treatment.
  • Obtain and accurately document manual vital signs.
  • Administer injections as ordered by the provider.
  • Collect laboratory specimens and urine drug screens (UDS) following established protocols.
  • Complete Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) treatments after successful completion of required certification and training.
  • Assist with and monitor Spravato treatments according to office policies and provider direction.
  • Observe patients during in-office treatments and immediately report concerns or changes in condition to the provider.
  • Review provider documentation to assist in answering patient questions between visits.
  • Prepare examination and treatment rooms before and after patient visits.
  • Maintain appropriate infection control and safety standards.
  • Monitor patients during in-office treatments and report concerns to providers promptly
  • Provide compassionate and professional care to patients throughout their visit. Answer patient questions within the scope of the Medical Assistant role.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Administrative Responsibilities
  • Schedule new and established patient appointments
  • Print daily provider schedules and required patient paperwork
  • Print E-FORCSE reports for providers as needed
  • Process incoming and outgoing faxes
  • Complete work notes, school notes, and other patient documentation requests
  • Scan and upload documents into the electronic medical record
  • Work collaboratively with providers, therapists, front office staff, billing personnel, and leadership.
  • Maintain flexibility to meet patient care and operational needs.
  • Participate in staff meetings and required training.
  • Promote a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.
Confidentiality
  • Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Follow HIPAA requirements and LTAW policies and procedures.
  • Handle patient information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Do not provide clinical advice or information outside the scope of the position.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.
