Job summary

InnovaCare Management Services Company, LLC seeks a Medical Assistant to participate in planning, providing, and evaluating patient care. The MA will operate diagnostic equipment, perform venipuncture, collect specimens, and prepare sterilized equipment while adhering to clinic policies and infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Must have Medical Assistant Certificate or 1 year healthcare experience with patient contact.

They have a duty to provide a standard of care that meets or exceeds that of a competent and knowledgeable Medical Assistant.Performs all duties at the expert level within the scope of a Medical Assistant’s practice. Operates diagnostic equipment (cannot interpret tests), remove staples from superficial wounds, changes wound dressing and obtains cultures, administers non intravenous medication performs simple specimen collection via noninvasive techniques and collects blood specimens via venipuncture or via capillary, performs EKGs. Performs quality control checks on equipment. Prepares and sterilizes medical equipment using the autoclave. Fosters accountability for clinical practice and patient goals.In Florida: The MA performs duties within their scope of practice delegated by, and under the supervision of, a physician (FL) (In FL cannot be anyone other than a MD).Essential Job FunctionsCoordinates the clinic work activities and schedules, at one or multiple locations.
