Job summary

Bayview Physicians Group in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking Medical Assistants to join a fast-growing outpatient multi-specialty practice. You will support providers, perform clinical and administrative tasks, and help maintain a patient-centered workflow.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited MA program, and active MA or nursing certification/licensure. This full-time position offers benefits and competitive pay based on experience and duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Active and appropriate Medical Assistant or nursing certification/licensure required.
• Knowledge of basic clinical procedures and nursing practices.
• Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented, high-energy environment.
• Flexibility to travel to satellite locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, positive experience for every patient and family member
• Support providers by performing clinical and administrative tasks efficiently and accurately
• Room patients, take and document vital signs, and update charts in the EMR
• Administer medications and injections per provider orders, following all documentation and safety protocols
• Keep patient records up to date, including medications, allergies, and medical history
• Answer phone calls, respond to patient needs, and route messages appropriately
• Help keep clinic operations running smoothly in a fast-paced setting
