Job summary

New York Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our Patchogue team in a full-time capacity. You will manage patient intake, collect lab specimens, record vital signs, and assist clinicians during examinations and procedures.

The role requires a Medical Assistant Certificate and a HS diploma, and proficiency with an EMR system is preferred. You will work in a fast-paced environment with patient-centered care and strict PPE protocols.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with an EMR system (Preferred).
• Knowledge of standard precautions and the ability to utilize PPE.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient intakes, ensuring accurate information recording.
• Collect and process lab specimens, including venipuncture and diagnostic tests.
• Record patients' vital signs and prepare patients for examinations.
• Sterilize medical equipment and instruments.
• Assist providers and other staff in data entry and during visits.
• Perform EKGs and point-of-care testing.
• Support office procedures and other duties as assigned.
