Job summary

Community Memorial Healthcare is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide safe and efficient patient care under supervision in the Clinic setting. You will perform routine tasks to support patient care within the Centers for Family Health and help manage patient flow and documentation.

The role requires a Medical Assistant diploma or certificate, active CMA/CCMA/NCMA/RMA or AAMA ABROE certification (or eligible within 30 days), and a current BLS certification. Spanish language skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant diploma or certificate from training program required.
• Current CMA/CCMA/NCMA/RMA or AAMA ABROE certification or eligible within 30 days.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient, and therapeutic patient care under supervision of a licensed physician and nurse in the Clinic setting.
• Perform routine tasks needed to care for patients within the Centers for Family Health.
• Support daily clinic operations and patient flow as directed by clinical leadership.
• Document patient information accurately and maintain clinical hygiene and safety standards.

Compensation

Salary Range: $24.90 - $32.41 / hour

The pay range above represents the lowest possible rate for the position and the highest possible rate. Factors that may be used to determine where newly hired employees will be placed in the pay range include the employee specific skills and qualifications, relevant years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most often, a newly hired employee will be placed below the midpoint of the range. Responsibilities

Position Overview:

To provide safe, efficient, and therapeutic patient care services under the supervision and direction of a licensedphysician and nurse in performing various duties in the Clinic setting. The Medical Assistant will perform theroutine tasks needed to care for patients within the Centers for Family Health.

Qualifications

Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Medical Assistant diploma or certificate of completion from a medical assistant training program
• Currently certified as a Medical Assistant by a recognized certifying organization or eligible to sit for exam within 30 days of hire. Acceptable certifications are CMA, CCMA, NCMA, RMT, AAMA ABROE.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Preferred:

• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Bilingual in Spanish
