Job summary

Millennium Physician Group is seeking a Medical Assistant for our Venice, Florida clinic. You will support care teams by rooming patients, taking vital signs, and assisting with exams under physician supervision.

Responsibilities include maintaining exam room readiness, handling specimens, and ensuring accurate charting in the electronic health record, while adhering to safety and privacy standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-1 year of medical assistant, patient care support, or clinical office experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of ambulatory care workflows, vital signs, infection control, patient safety, and clinical documentation practices.
• Basic Life Support certification preferred.

• Room patients, verify patient information, obtain vital signs, and document routine information in the medical record according to established procedures.
• Prepare exam rooms, equipment, and supplies for patient visits, procedures, and daily clinic operations.
• Assist physicians and other licensed providers with routine exams, procedures, and patient care activities within assigned scope of practice.
• Collect, label, handle, and process specimens according to established protocols and applicable safety requirements.
• Support patient flow by communicating care team needs, tracking visit status, and completing assigned follow-up tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness, stocking, and readiness of clinical areas, exam rooms, supplies, and equipment.
• Follow infection control, safety, privacy, documentation, and patient identification standards in daily work.

Job Description Summary

We are excited to announce an opening for Medical Assistant in our Venice, Florida clinic! The Medical Assistant supports the care team by performing routine clinical and administrative tasks in an ambulatory care setting. Assists with patient rooming, vital signs, documentation support, specimen handling, supply readiness, and patient flow activities under established procedures. Performs assigned work within scope of practice and under the direct supervision of a physician or other licensed provider.

Medical Assistants works under close supervision on clearly defined tasks within established parameters. Decisions are limited in scope and impact own work products. Builds foundational knowledge of medical assisting, patient care support, clinical workflows, and documentation practices through structured assignments with frequent guidance from more experienced team members.

Compensation Range:

$17.10 to $25.65

The anticipated base salary range represents the Company's good-faith estimate of the compensation it reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, geographic location, internal equity, and business needs.
