Job summary

Millennium Physician Group in Venice, FL is seeking a Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) to support patient care and clinic operations across multiple facilities in the region. In this role you will room patients, assist with exams, document in electronic health records, and collaborate with care teams to implement individualized patient care plans.

Certification as CMA or RMA and 2–4 years of ambulatory care experience preferred; BLS desirable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–4 years of medical assistant or ambulatory care experience.
• CMA, RMA, or equivalent Medical Assistant certification or registration required.
• Basic Life Support certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in accordance with facility protocols, regulatory standards, and best practices.
• Travel to assigned facilities within the region to support clinical staffing needs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Accurately and timely document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic health records (EHR).
• Assist in onboarding, mentoring, and supporting new clinical staff as needed.
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations, providing appropriate clinical interventions.
• Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and quality assurance standards.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff across diverse settings.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
• Demonstrate excellent guest service to internal team members and patients.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Description Summary

We are excited to announce an opening for Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) in our Venice, Florida clinics! The Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) performs a broad range of clinical and administrative medical assistant duties that support efficient patient care, accurate documentation, and effective clinic operations. Works with the care team to room patients, support exams and procedures, complete assigned orders and follow-up tasks, and maintain readiness of clinical spaces. Performs assigned work within scope of practice and under the direct supervision of a physician or other licensed provider. The Medical Assistant works independently on routine assignments and moderately complex tasks under general supervision. Decisions impact own work and recurring care team deliverables within established protocols. Applies working knowledge of medical assisting, patient care support, clinic workflows, and electronic documentation to complete assignments and support peers earlier in their career.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; 2-4 years of medical assistant, clinical support, or ambulatory care experience.
• CMA, RMA, or equivalent Medical Assistant certification or registration required.
• Basic Life Support certification preferred.
• Specialized knowledge of ambulatory clinical support workflows, patient intake, point-of-care testing, medication support, infection prevention, care gap support, and documentation standards.
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, clinical messaging, documentation workflows, and care team coordination tools.
• Strong problem-solving, peer guidance, patient communication, and workflow coordination skills.

Compensation Range: $19.00 to $28.50 The anticipated base salary range represents the Company's good-faith estimate of the compensation it reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, geographic location, internal equity, and business needs.
