Job summary

COPE Community Services, Inc. is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support providers in primary care, perform patient care tasks, and help maintain efficient clinic flow.

The MA will prepare patients, collect vital health data, and assist with exams and procedures while handling routine administrative duties. Responsibilities include documenting data for health records, medications and allergies, and supporting scheduling and patient flow.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Completion of accredited Medical Assistant certification program.
  • Must be at least 19 years of age.
  • Preferred: Must be 21 years of age.

  • Prepare patients for visits and collect health data (weight, medications, allergies).
  • Perform clinic support tasks (filing, answering phones, maintaining provider schedule).

Job description

We are looking for a full time Medical Assistant to join our team! Under direct supervision, the MA will assist provider with primary care duties, patient care (i.e. exams, procedures, blood draws, injections and patient education) and maintain efficient patient flow. The MA will also assist provider by preparing patients to be seen, collecting and recording necessary data for health, weight, medication and allergies. Responsible for performing miscellaneous clinic support tasks including filing, answering phones and maintaining provider schedule.

Schedule
  • Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Written and verifiable proof of completion of an accredited Medical Assistant certification program
  • Must be at least 19 years of age

Must possess a valid AZ driver's license with a "clean" or "acceptable" driving record.
