Job summary

Albany Family Medicine is seeking a Medical Assistant to join their team in a busy outpatient setting. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm or 8:30am–5:00pm, with a recruitment bonus up to $1,000. Compensation ranges from $17.00 to $22.00 per hour, with overtime potential and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will document conversations, maintain patient flow, prepare patients, obtain specimens, perform EKGs/PFTs, enter orders, and assist providers with exams and treatments.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required; MA certification preferred.
• Experience in a medical/clinical setting is desirable.
• Phlebotomy experience is a plus, with strong patient care skills.

Responsibilities

• Document verbal conversations and information into patient records accurately and timely.
• Maintain timely patient flow throughout the visit.
• Prepare patients for visits according to office/provider requirements.
• Obtain specimens (urine, blood, etc.) as directed by the provider.
• Enter orders accurately into the lab system.
• Perform clinical office procedures (e.g., EKG, PFT) as directed.
• Assist providers with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.

This position is eligible for up to a $1,000.00 recruitment and retention bonus!!

Responsibilities:

• Document verbal conversations and information into the patient records in an accurate, legible and timely manner.
• Maintain timely patient flow.
• Prepare patient for visit as appropriate, based on office/provider requirements.
• Obtain specimens (i.e., urine, blood, etc.) from patients as directed by the provider.
• Accurate and timely order entry into the lab system.
• Perform clinical office procedures as directed by the provider (i.e. EKG, PFT, etc.).
• Assist providers with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.

Compensation: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
